Nó Górdio

Nó Górdio is an association founded in 2015. The purpose of the association is to provide services of a moral, cultural and material nature to persons and groups that lack them, developing activities to protect children, youth, the elderly, the family and the community, pursuing their well-being through solidarity and help. Our Association will develop to the good of the whole. We promote, organize and develop social activities and / or events, with recreational, formative, cultural, social and competitive purposes. We promote the exchange and cooperation with national and foreign associations and institutions that pursue objectives identical to those of the association.

For this project we are going to have the following team for implementation of all the activities of the program.
Albino Pereira (President of the NGO Associação Nó Górdio)

Albino Pereira plays a strategic leadership role in the design, coordination and implementation of national and international education and youth projects. Mr. Pereira is a school director and education professional with extensive experience in educational management, non-formal education, and European cooperation. He holds a Master's degree in Education, with a focus on pedagogical innovation and school management.
He has participated in and coordinated a significant number of European initiatives under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes, including Youth Exchanges, Training Courses, Cooperation Partnerships (KA2), and mobility projects for students and staff. Throughout his professional career, he has been actively involved in projects addressing youth participation, social inclusion, digital education, sustainability, and community engagement. He has contributed to the development and management of a large portfolio of European projects and numerous local initiatives aimed at empowering young people and strengthening institutional capacity.
In addition to his work at European level, Albino coordinates and supports a wide range of educational and community-based activities in Portugal, fostering partnerships between schools, municipalities, NGOs, and international organisations. He regularly delivers workshops, training sessions and public presentations on topics such as project management, youth work methodologies, innovation in education, and European citizenship. His leadership is characterised by a strong commitment to collaboration, quality assurance, and the promotion of meaningful learning opportunities for young people and educators.
Joana Pereira (Project Coordinator and Youth Worker)

Joana Pereira plays an active role in the coordination, implementation and monitoring of national and international education and youth projects within Associação Nó Górdio. She is an experienced youth worker and project coordinator with strong involvement in non-formal education, youth participation and European cooperation initiatives. Her work focuses on supporting young people's personal development, inclusion and active citizenship through structured learning experiences and community-based activities.
She has been involved in numerous projects funded by the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes, contributing to the planning and delivery of Youth Exchanges, Training Courses, volunteering activities and local youth initiatives. Throughout these projects, she has developed solid competences in participant support, logistics coordination, facilitation of group activities and intercultural learning processes. She is particularly attentive to participant well-being, inclusion measures and the creation of safe and supportive learning environments.
At organisational level, Joana collaborates closely with project teams, partner organisations and local stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, smooth implementation of activities and compliance with programme requirements. She also contributes to dissemination, follow-up activities and the promotion of project results within the community. Her work is characterised by reliability, strong organisational skills and a genuine commitment to empowering young people and strengthening the quality of youth work initiatives.
Manuel Gama (Trainer and Facilitator)

Manuel Gama contributes to the development and implementation of educational and youth initiatives as a trainer and facilitator within Associação Nó Górdio and its partner networks. He is actively involved in non-formal education activities, supporting the design and delivery of learning experiences that promote participation, teamwork and personal development among young people. His work is grounded in practical methodologies that encourage active engagement, reflection and skills development in diverse learning environments.
He has participated in several projects funded under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes, taking part in Youth Exchanges, Training Courses and community-based initiatives. In these contexts, he has supported group facilitation, outdoor and experiential learning activities, and the organisation of workshops focused on communication, cooperation and problem-solving. He is particularly valued for his hands-on approach, adaptability and ability to connect with participants from different cultural and social backgrounds.
Within project teams, Manuel contributes to the smooth implementation of activities, ensuring that sessions are delivered effectively and that participants remain motivated and engaged. He also supports logistical preparation, teamwork dynamics and the creation of positive group environments. His involvement reflects a strong commitment to quality youth work, practical learning and the promotion of inclusive participation in educational and community initiatives.
Mariana Pereira (Volunteer and Youth Support Assistant)

Mariana Pereira is an active volunteer within Associação Nó Górdio, contributing to the implementation of youth activities and community initiatives at local and international level. As a young volunteer, she supports the organisation of non-formal education activities, assisting facilitators and project teams in creating welcoming, dynamic and inclusive learning environments for participants. Her involvement reflects a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork and commitment to community engagement.
She has taken part in several youth initiatives and volunteering activities, including events, workshops and European mobility projects developed under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps frameworks. Through these experiences, she has developed practical competences in communication, collaboration and participant support, while gaining valuable exposure to intercultural learning and youth participation processes. She is particularly attentive to the needs of participants, contributing to a positive atmosphere and helping to ensure the smooth running of activities.
Within the organisation, Mariana plays an important supporting role in logistical preparation, reception of participants and day-to-day assistance during activities and events. She also contributes to dissemination actions, helping to promote initiatives through social media and community outreach. Her engagement demonstrates motivation to learn, grow and actively contribute to projects that foster inclusion, solidarity and active citizenship among young people.
